Following the birth of Davion, her first son Davion she was able to move into an apartment and worked at the local laundromat in order to make both ends meet. Brink began her career in the year 1995, when she joined Pulse which was a group based out of Albany New York. It was primarily a support band local bands such as Coal Chamber or Sevendust. When she was looking for a band Brink was working in shops as well as in cafes and bars. In the years following, Chris Howorth, a part of the band she is in now was interviewed by her. Howorth was hesitant to take her on because she was a woman. But he quickly altered his mind and apologized to her upon having heard her sing.
